Black Silicon Carbide

Black silicon carbide, a kind of granular abrasive material in black color, exhibits good electrical and thermal conductivity, desirable traits in many applicable situations. It is borne from the combination of quartz sand and petroleum coke, processed via a high temperature resistance furnace. The resulting hardness is rated higher than fused alumina but lower than synthetic diamond. Brittle and sharp, this substance is capable of mechanical intensity superior to that of the fused alumina. It is commonly used for the processing and grinding of glass, ceramics, stone, cast iron, alloy, titanium alloy, etc. Competitively priced, it may also be used as a refractory material.

The silicon carbide can be made into bonded abrasive and coated abrasive. The bonded abrasive comes with a grain size ranging between F12 and F1200. The coated abrasive grain size ranges from # 8 to # 8000. The coated abrasive comes with finest grain size of P2500. The finer the grain size, the lower the silicon content will be. Thus, the material hardness and strength is varied according to grain size as well. Our products are produced according to FEPA and JIS Standards.

As a professional black silicon carbide manufacturer and supplier in China, our company also offers green silicon carbide powder, metal grinding wheel, grinding stone, and white fused alumina, among others.

    1. Green Silicon CarbideOur green silicon carbide strictly adheres to FEPA specifications for bonded F8- F2000 and coated P12-P2500. A product of high purity materials and salt additives, the carbide is forged through a resistance furnace at an approximate temperature of 2200℃. The resulting product is a semi-conductor with excellent thermal conductivity. Appearing as a dark green translucent hexagonal crystal, this substance possesses a ...
    1. Green Silicon Carbide PowderGreen silicon carbide powder is commonly used for heavy duty grinding, polishing, and lapping procedures. A product of petroleum coke, quartz sand, and other materials, it is manufactured in essentially the same fashion as the black silicon carbide. While the procedures is similar, this abrasive has proven itself to be of higher purity and retains a greater hardness when compared to the black silicon carbide. ..
